Builder gel is what nail techs use to build volume, extend the nail, or strengthen the natural plate. LOYA offers two types for different techniques: Liquid Gel, which self-levels and flows into place, and Sculpture Builder Gel, which holds its shape right under the brush. Which one you reach for depends on the work you're doing.
Two types — two jobs
Liquid Gel — a flowing, self-leveling gel. Applies in a thin layer, bonds well to the natural nail, and works for strengthening, corrections, and fine sculpting. Nude and camouflage shades (5, 10, 15, 45, 51, 53, 61) in 15ml and 30ml.
Sculpture Builder Gel — doesn't spread, holds its shape immediately after application, and can be adjusted with the brush before curing. Good for free-edge extensions, architectural shapes, and form work. TPO-free, shades 32, 33, 36, 45, 51 in 30ml jars.
Crystal Builder Gel — the newest line extension, same thick builder-gel format in pastel shades. Currently available in shade 122 — pastel lilac.
Why LOYA builder gels
The gels self-level, don't cause heat during application, and last up to 4 weeks without chipping or lifting. They cure under any lamp and are compatible with other brands' top coats, bases, and materials. Every formula is TPO-free and 7-free.
FAQ
What's the difference between liquid gel and sculpture builder gel?
Liquid Gel self-levels and applies in a thin, flowing layer — good for strengthening the natural nail and fine corrections. Sculpture Builder Gel is thicker, doesn't spread, and holds its shape under the brush — for extensions, architectural shapes, and form work.
What's the difference between builder gel and a base coat?
A base coat is the first layer under gel polish — it bonds the coating to the nail. Builder gel is a separate material for creating shape and volume: used for nail extensions, strengthening thin nails, or fill corrections.
Which gel should I use to strengthen natural nails?
Liquid Gel — thin and flowing, applies in a light layer, doesn't overload the nail. Holds well on the natural plate without extension.
Which gel works for architectural shapes and extensions?
Sculpture Builder Gel — thicker, doesn't flow, holds its shape right away. Easy to place on a form and adjust with the brush before curing.
How long do LOYA gel extensions last without chipping?
Up to 4 weeks without chipping or lifting as part of a full LOYA system.
